How we found your details

If Simon Read has emailed you about selling your business, your details came from the sources below, and you can be removed at any time.

Where your details came from

Your name and role come from the public register at Companies House, which lists the directors and people with significant control of every UK limited company. Your email address is either published on your company's own website or follows the format your company uses for its addresses, and we check that it is valid before we use it.

We only email business addresses on a company's own website domain. We never use personal or free webmail addresses, and we do not email sole traders or partnerships.

What we hold

We hold your first name, your business email address, and your company's name and registered details. We do not hold your home address, phone number or date of birth.

Why we may contact you

Our lawful basis is legitimate interests. We help owners of businesses like yours to sell them, and letting a company owner know that buyers are looking for businesses like theirs is a normal part of that work. We have weighed this against your interests: we email no more than once in any four weeks, and you can stop it with one click.

How to be removed

Every email we send ends with a line that removes you with one click. You can also reply asking to be removed, or email enquiries@electricalbusinessforsale.co.uk. Once you are removed, we keep your email address only on our suppression list, so that you are never contacted again.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to us using it, by emailing enquiries@electricalbusinessforsale.co.uk. We always act on an objection to marketing. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
